Terlingua, TX — This is among my favorite Instagram photos from my West Texas road trip for HOG magazine.
I’d pulled up to a gas station in the town of Terlingua – near Big Bend National Park – and spotted the gentleman on the motorcycle. I went up to speak to him, and the other gentleman in the cowboy hat happened to be stumbling out of the store, and came over to talk also. I asked them whether I could take their picture, and they agreed.
The result, I feel, captures kind of a small “slice of life” in West Texas. I really like it; hope you do too.
Amigo is not right,seeing as I never met the guy in the photo until that day and have no idea who he is.
Yes, I understand that. I actually meant it to imply that “I’d” met new amigos on the road. I tried to make that clear in the text, but I probably wasn’t clear enough. I don’t have a problem changing the title; just let me know (you can reply here).
