[New Orleans, LA] — It’s Mardi Gras time in the Crescent City, and the parades, they’re a-rollin’. Krewe du Vieux is one of my favorites, a quirky, satirical procession with pronounced “adult themes.” Winding from the Marigny neighborhood and through the French Quarter, marchers and their mule-drawn floats lampoon everything from New Orleans politics to current events (and obviously there’s lots to satirize here).
The theme of 2013’s parade was “Krewe du Vieux Comes Early.” Check out my video for a taste:
