Albuquerque, NM — Albuquerque is known as the Ballooning Capital of the World. With its moderate climate and over 300 annual days of sunshine, it’s really a no-brainer. Each October, huge crowds of spectators and balloonists are drawn to the city for its International Balloon Fiesta.
I recently had the chance to go for a ride (a float?) with Rainbow Ryders, one of the region’s premiere balloon companies. It was an incredible – and surprisingly relaxing – experience.
