“Lost in Translation?” in Maracaibo, Venezuela

[Maracaibo, Venezuela] — I came upon this snack kiosk in La Chinita International Airport in Maracaibo, Venezuela a couple of years ago. After doing a double-take, I wondered whether this was an instance of a phrase that’s “lost in translation,” or whether the kiosk owner knew exactly what he was doing when naming the stand (I vote for the latter), creating a double-entendre kind of inside joke, that many travelers in the Spanish-speaking country wouldn’t get.

What do you think?
